Hornafjörður Swimming Pool

Hornafjördur is a blooming community in the realm of the greatest glacier in Europe, Vatnajokull in South-East part of Iceland. The village Höfn, and the countryside are located at the base of Vatnajökull, and the scenery is breathtaking. The swimming pool is situated in the center of the village, picking up its small scale and is conected to the hartbeat of the schools and sport facilities. Material from the nature around is used on the floor and walls. The swimming pool itself is 25 meters long and has 4 lanes. Attached to it are three hot tubs some water slides and steam bath, showers and other facilities needed. The swimming pool is only in two minutes walking distance from the camping side.
